Don't take this the wrong way, Dave, but I can't say that was your best. I didn't really laugh. I didn't really smile, actually. Number 5 had me laughing a few times, but this just didn't do it. Concept, art, sound, and story was great as usual, just wasn't extremely amusing. Sorry.

Tough review.

This is a tough review, because honestly, this cartoon deserves a high score. I just personally won't contribute to that.

LegendaryFrog is absolutely talented and I'm always impressed with his efforts. However, in my opinion, the humor in these cartoons has always been their downfall. At the risk of getting personal, these animations often scream "dork" in humor and style, and come across a little, well, lame.

The humor is generally slapstick and dry, rivaling a Nickelodeon after-school special or a SNL episode loaded with puns and predictable humor.

I'm sorry for being so abrasive. I respect LegendaryFrog as a writer and artist, I'm just not the least bit amused by these toons. Of course, I'm also a huge fan of Mr. Show on HBO and Reno 911 humor. Creative, fresh, and witty.

Or maybe I'm just being too harsh? Either way. I gave this cartoon a 3 to be fair. And by the way, #1 of all time? Jesus Christ people, come on.

Ok, seriously.

Am I the only NG visitor that has a problem with videos imported into flash, and then presented as "flash movies."

The video was cool, yeah, but it had absolutely nothing to do with flash. There were some minor implementations like the targeting sequences or some blinking text but it was being judged (which is what I thought the portal was) on the actual flash it would have been blammed already.

I apologize for being abrasive, but this is a fucking video clip. Imported. And some text and music throw on top of it.

Doesn't really qualify as a flash animation deserving a score higher than 1, in my humble opinion.

If this was "imported", the file size would be astronomical, and would violate the 5MB limit for Newgrounds.
But it isn't "imported", and therefore doesn't go beyond the limit, and whoah, it's even entertaining people. But what number you choose to give it is up to you.

[Small Town]

Not bad but...

...that song wasn't even remotely funny. Maybe it's just me (it usually is) but I didn't laugh once or crack a smile throughout the song. I got the joke, it was just old material and pretty weak.

But whatever. I gave you a decent score. The art was good, the synch was on, and the concept was cool. Paying tribute to someone you liked and that passed on / moved on is always cool with me.

So good job overall, Chris.
