30 Movie Reviews

3 w/ Responses

Fortunately for you I base my reviews on talent.

Because if I based my reviews solely on content this review would make me punch babies.

I gave you a seven. That's pretty generous considering I lost a piece of my soul watching this.

Nice animation, however...

The animation was extremely impressive. It was very detailed and fluent, almost like watching a Disney movie. However, the humor was unfortunately lacking and the story was virtually non existent. I hate to be so critical of such talented animators, but there's a reason the artists aren't usually the writers too.

In terms of actual artwork, it was indeed well done but nothing unique or original. It reminded me of a Disney movie to be quite honest, same style and technique.

Overall it was decent in my opinion. With the right group of people working on a project with the artist / animator it could lead to very good things.

Moving

Original and touching.

Hughes135: I believe she wants to kill herself because she lost her husband. He won't let her do it. That's my interpretation, at least.

Nice

That was beautiful. I laughed my ass off. Unfortunately I think Linda and her family pretty much epitomizes America... and I'm an American.

Thanks man.

Witless

I said it before and I'll say it again. I respect LegendaryFrog as an animator and artist. I'm not overly impressed with either but it's worth a mention that he certainly dedicates time and effort to these movies.

However, on the flipside, the voice acting is below par and the humor is awful at best. Very dry, witless humor. Most of the laughs you get from these movies are drawn from the crowd that finds unintelligent slapstick comedy to be hysterical. I appreciated more witty, intelligent, and creative humor personally, which is why I have a strait face through most, if not all of your movies. This one was no exception.

Not a personal attack on you at all. I think you have talent and commitment which is great, but the humor is lacking. Severely.

Staying open-minded pays off

I generally don't enjoy anything anime. It's a generic style and has ultimately become cliche. In fact, I have a hard time even watching anime flash without closing the window.

So it should mean a little extra when say I was thorougly impressed with your toon. I didn't want it to end, and I wanted to see where it was going. When it was over I felt like I'd just watched a show on TV where you dread the "To Be Continued" for a good 5 minutes.

Anyways, great animation, smooth transitions and I enjoyed the story. Very cool man, nice job.

Original Humor

It's movies like this one that emphasize originality. I thought it was going to be another Michael Jackson cliche but it was surprising and hilarious.

Nice job. 5 from me for the laughs.

Artistic and Stylish.

Only one glaring error.

The voice acting. Most of the voice acting was decent, but the Clemens' almost destroyed the entire movie for me. "We gah to fine a way to fah-keeng suh-vayve dees bullsheet." Something about broken English and unecessary dialog like "fucking survive" push my pointer towards a 3, but I gave you a 4 anyways.

Beautiful.

That was thoroughly enjoyable.

The art was great, the sound was fitting, the style was excellent, and the story was emotional.

Nicely done. Thanks for that.

Ok, it's official.

I'm the only NG member who doesn't find Knox to be even remotely funny. The voice acting is stale as hell. Monotone and boring. The humor is witless and random. I don't see why this stupid shit gets so much credit.

Furthemore, it's claymation. It's not even a fucking flash animation.

Anyone realize that?

Knox responds:

not flash,pshhh
thats not what the flash file says :P
and thanks for the 2 on humor :)
